Simple dhal with moong, tastes great with hot rice and ghee and also with chapathis.

Moong Dhal - 1 cup
Chilli powder - 1/2 tbsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
Garlic - 3 pods crushed
Salt as needed

Mustard seeds, urad dhal ,jeera, curry leaves, 2 broken red chillies( all optional )

Cook moong dhal till soft with enough water...can also add crushed garlic when cooking...add salt,chilli and turmeric powder...Season with the temperings...Mustard seeds, urad dhal, jeera, curry leaves, red chillies and can use crushed garlic here too( the garlic will be get crispier and gave a good smell to the dhal). This is the easiest method and be can be done in less then 15 minutes...will taste good with hot rice and ghee.
