Recipe and photo sent by my SIL Priya.

Shrimp - 2 or 3 cups
Onion - 1 small chopped fine
Tomato - 1 chopped fine
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
Jeera/cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Chilli powder - 1 tsp
Dhaniya powder - 1 tsp
Pepper powder - 1/4 tsp ( or few sprinkles)
Cashew - 5 or 6 pieces( soak in water for 15 - 20 minutes)
Curry leaves - few
Coriander leaves for garnishing
Salt as needed
Oil - 1 tbsp

Grind cashew in a mixer to a fine paste..keep it aside.

Heat oil in a kadai/pan and add jeera...wait for few seconds and add curry leaves + onion...fry till they are golden brown...next add ginger garlic paste and saute for minute and add the powders( turmeric, chilli and dhaniya)...mix well and add chopped tomatoes...fry till they are tender and pulpy...next add ground cashew paste along with a cup of water...also add shrimp + salt...let it cook till the raw smell leaves for 6 - 7 minutes...finally add pepper powder and chopped cilantro...since we get cooked shrimp here...that is why no need to cook for long time and adding it only in the end just to coat and absorb the masala.
